The term Duloch Park is synonymous with the large modern housing scheme on the fringe of Dunfermline, also known as the town's eastern expansion. Enter the park from Greenshank Drive and follow the path towards the pond - usually populated by ducks and swans. Head up past the sports centre and turn left along a paved way that skirts the library and community campus.
Walk around the metal barrier and enter Calais Muir Wood. Ignore a path junction immediately to your right and instead take the next right after 300 yards (red marker post). This route runs through the middle of the ancient forest. Turn left at a T-junction (blue post) and skirt the edge of the treeline. Dip back into the main wood when you reach the far corner. Follow this trail over a hump and look for an exit to your right. Either cross the short metal bridge over the stream to reach the parkland or hang right and take the rougher track alongside the pond, which requires you to use a stepping stone.
