Corrieshalloch Gorge

Corrieshalloch Gorge (1.3 miles)

The car park for Corrieshalloch Gorge is on the A832 near the junction with the A835. Payment is on a donation basis. Follow the signed route down to the edge of the gorge. A suspension footbridge takes you across and the view of the racing waters far below is breathtaking. The path on the the opposite side leads to another viewpoint looking back up the gully.

Go back over the bridge and turn right rather than head straight back up. You skirt the gorge before doubling back and climbing up to road level. Fine views of Loch Fannich open up to the south. There is nowhere else like this place in the country. A must-stop if in the vicinity.
