Wizard Walk Kirkcaldy (2.3 miles)

Start at Beveridge Park which is a short walk from the bus and rail stations. There is ample car parking available inside the compound. Explore the pond and rose garden then make your way past the rugby stadium to the far corner. An information board relates the tale of the local wizard and directs you to the woodland path. Height is soon gained and you find yourself upon a ridge with a stream running through the gorge down below. With a bit of luck, you may encounter the magic man himself.

As the path descends, take a sharp left through a tree-lined valley down to the burn. Walk upstream, emerging on the B925. Cross with care and turn right along the pavement, passing the entrance to Raith Fishery. A public right of way cuts off to the left. Take this route and skirt the corner of the lake. Keep following the obvious path until you emerge at the end of the residential Raith Drive. Head down this quiet street which returns you to the main entrance of Beveridge Park.
