Moncreiffe Hill (2 miles)
At 223 metres ( 732 feet in old money), Moncreiffe Hill is an ideal short climb but one with extremely rewarding views of Perth and the surrounding countryside. Start at the car park on Rhynd Road and make your way through the metal gate. The path winds steeply uphill and you should hang left at intersections. The summit can be reached by following the signpost for the hill fort.
From the top, you can look down upon the Fair City and the monument on nearby Kinnoull Hill is clearly visible. Fife's Lomond peaks rise to the southeast and you also have a bird's eye view of Bridge of Earn straddling the smaller river in this area. The climb also features a series of animal sculptures, catering for your arty needs.
