Norman's Law (4 miles)
The Ochil Hills are popularly associated with the northern side of the Forth Valley but the range extends into Fife and eventually tapers out near the River Tay. Norman's Law is regarded as the last peak of any significance and a good starting point is the village of Luthrie, just off the A92. The access road is straight until it bends left upon entering the village. Once round the curve, take the first street on the right at a red phone box. The village hall is a short distance uphill and public parking is available here. Walk back down and take the farm track leading off Luthriebank Road - signed for Norman's Law.
Turn right at the T-junction and follow the track round to a house at which point a sign informs you to bear right. We gain height then need to take a path to the left which continues uphill. Norman's Law appears and it is a case of heading for the summit. Soon the Tay can also be seen. The path may become rather indistinct at times but the destination is obvious. A trig point is located at the 935 foot peak. Superb views are available in all directions. Return to Luthrie by the reverse route.
