Kemal's Cut (2.8 miles)

Start at Aberdour railway station (which has a large car park) and make your way along Main Street (away from the High Street). The pavement climbs steeply as you leave the town. Look for a farm track to the left, about half way up the rise. Almost immediately, a path leads off to the right signed as a public right of way to Dunearn. Take this route and keep heading upwards.

Views open up over the Firth of Forth and several islands are visible. Inchcolm is very close to Aberdour. The path continues past a cottage and then joins a single-track access road. It takes a dip but keep going until you have a clear view of Dunearn Hill in front of you and the town of Burntisland further round the coast. On your left is the small Torry Hill but a climb doesn't look an attractive option as it's covered in whin bushes. Upon returning to the main road junction, a possible extension is to head up the farm track for views across the town. Passing through a metal gate allows you to access Humbie Wood which has a network of paths and lots of native trees.
